Executive Summary

Your report should contain an executive summary, written as the last step in the process, but placed at the beginning of the document. An executive summary is not an introduction, abstract or a preface but rather a brief overview of the main features in your report. Thus, it allows busy executives to grasp the major thrust of your report without having to read the whole document.  Moreover, it should be written in such a way that your readers can generate enough interest to read your work.

Introduction

Make a brief introduction about the company and briefly describe its mission and vision. What is the company’s aim? What is the company’s mission statement?  Why does it exist? What does it strive to achieve? Where would it like to be so many years down the road? These are some of the questions that need to be answered in order for the company to have a clear sense of direction and purpose. Every company is accountable to its stakeholders. Without a clear mission and vision, the company cannot satisfy the needs of its stakeholders.
