Part 2: Roles of the Business Analyst

• Detail how the business case would be developed for an Enterprise System upgrade or replacement project (as described in the literature) and discuss their suitability in the NZ Health Board’s project
• Analysis Techniques: Describe various analysis techniques presented in the literature and detail how one or more of these can be used in the NZ Health Board’s project
• Requirements Analysis and Specification: Detail how the business case was developed in case of the NZ Health Board’s project and then compare it against the approaches discussed in the prescribed textbook (or literature)
• Requirements Validation: Describe how you would validate the requirements with supporting literature

Part 3: Proposed Plan of Action

The case study explains the events that led up to the selection of the original IT platform and the challenges the project team faced in deciding what to do when the platform did not meet contractual specifications.  You as a Business Analyst, review the current literature including trade journals, etc. and present ideas with proper justification to resolve the problems stated in the case study .
