User groups vary according to the type of library (school, public, special, academic, national). They include children, young adults, senior citizens, small business owners, Pasifika, M?ori, migrants, those with English as an additional language, university students, primary or secondary school students, faculty, senior management, parents or school board members, teachers, genealogical/family history researchers, researchers or analysts, scientists and so on. Collections and types of resources include: non-fiction, children’s non-fiction, textbooks, a particular language collection, journals/magazines/newspapers, journal articles, reference works, multimedia (for example, DVDs, audio books, music CDs), e-books, e-audio books, different genres of fiction (for example, romance novels, short stories), local history and so on.
