It includes contact time, reading prescribed material, individual learning, time spent instructured learning, i.e. in the workplace, and completing assessments.One credit equals 10 notional hours of learning. The notional hours of learning for this module thus require160 hours of learning for the average student. The schedule in the table below demonstrates that the Leadership Development module does not consist of only a brief encounter with the material and lecturersduring the class sessions. Of the 160 notional hours, only 40 hours are consumed by the 20 class sessions,leaving 120 hours of formal learning that must occur outside the lecture rooms. This equates to about 20 full working days of active learning
