Introduction: Discrepancies and errors in radiology are uncomfortably a common phenomenon. This paper aims to uncover the potential Clinical governance methodologies taken in radiology departments to mitigate the Radiological errors.

Methods: A scoping review was done MEDLINE and EMBASE databases using the keywords and a total of 105 articles were identified out of which 58 were selected based on titles. After carefully reading the abstracts 22 articles which were peer reviewed were finalised based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Results: From the 22 included articles 17 articles discussed about Continuous quality improvement approach to be most effective way to manage risk in radiology departments and the other 5 articles proposed peer review meetings, Double reporting strategies and structured reporting format has helped in maintaining quality in radiology departments.

Conclusion: Radiological errors are believed to be inevitable and though they cannot be entirely eliminated but taking some measures like quality improvement methodologies can surely reduce the incidence of these errors and ultimately improve patient safety. However, there is still pressing need to conduct high quality studies to study in depth the workflow of reporting and error reporting mechanisms to maintain quality in the ever-changing field of radiology.
