The Human Resource Manager has asked you to compile a section to be included in a Induction Pack for trainees on the Management development programme, which:
a) Explains what HRM is and identifies the functions of HRM within LV=
b) Assesses how these functions relate to workforce planning and resourcing within LV and therefore its importance to the organization as a whole.
c) Critically evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of LV=’s Recruitment and Selection process, as
outlined in Appendix 1. You should consider how effective the process is in respect of selecting the best
applicant for a role, as well as the extent to which it assists LV= in becoming an ‘employer of choice’.
