Scholar-Practitioner Project Overview

Many public health leaders are proactive and passionate about improving health in the populations they serve. As such, an important aspect of the Walden University PhD Public Health program addresses how to assess and improve the well-being of communities and public health systems. As scholar-practitioners in this course, you are challenged to develop your capabilities as a leader through developing a personal Public Health Leadership Theory that uses a systems thinking approach for improvement with a public health community.

This course includes a term-long, Scholar-Practitioner Project designed to promote positive social change through the dissemination of information. This information highlights best practices in public health leadership by addressing gaps within public health literature. The Scholar-Practitioner Project Assignments highlighted below are scaffold and complemented by the Discussions and Assignments within the course.
