WRITING YOUR GEOLOGICAL ESSAY 

In your critical literature review you have to communicate information in a concise, readable style. Learning to write good scientific prose takes a number of years to master. The body of the essay should fulfil the aims set out in the introduction. It contains details of the literature review, with diagrams, and tables to supplement the text as required. Try and incorporate any details and observations you have learned from the field trip part of the course. Try to use diagrams when it will reduce the amount of text you need to write. Be concise and coherent without sacrificing detail.
