Get Help Now!ou are the manager of the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) of a major bank. Over the Australia Day weekend your intrusion prevention system detected a successful penetration by hackers, of a CRM system used by the bank’s head office Marketing Department.
An investigation of forensic evidence produced by your SIEM system has indicated that the hackers had access to the CRM system for approximately 36 hours and may have ex-filtrated contact details of several thousand bank customers who are on a “high net worth” mailing list.
According to the bank’s Incident Response Policy it is the responsibility of the CSOC Manager to make a presentation about any successful data breaches to senior management within 3 days.
To deliver your presentation you must convene and chair a meeting of the bank’s senior management team. You need to present the required information and field any questions from attendees.
Due to the frequency of cyber-attacks on the bank’s systems, such meetings are a regular occurrence and are conducted on a formal basis. This requires you to prepare a range of business documents including meeting notice, agenda, minutes and follow-up action items.

Required Activities
Stage 1 – Preparation
- Organise a suitable time for the meeting with your planned attendees. The meeting should occur within 72 hours of breach identification.

c. an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and discuss “other business”.
Typically the first agenda item will be acceptance of Minutes from the last similar meeting.
