Students are to design a poster that articulates Indigenous Australian concepts of worldviews and well being. The topic of your poster can be limited to one key concept, idea, or philosophy. You may choose a concept, idea, or philosophy that has been discussed in class or you may choose your own, however, it must pertain to Indigenous Australia. Your poster should be creative with minimum text, the goal of your poster is to have an organized and attractive poster detailing your chosen concept, idea, or philosophy. The poster should be self-explanatory and readable within about five minutes. There is an endless number of ways to put your poster together. Remember to create a strong visual but avoid making the poster look crowded. It is suggested that students use Powerpoint to create their posters. With PowerPoint, you can create a slide the exact size you want your poster to be able to add text, pictures, and clipart as needed. Please note that students should present a one-page poster.
As you all know your posters are due on Friday 15th May. I just wanted to give a final tip or two: Remember who your audience is – make it clear! use a slogan, or catchy phrase What is the point of the poster? What are you hoping will be the outcome?
