The Ugamo Malim Community is a religious minority of Indonesia. This community is a victim of several hate crimes. Another right protected under this article includes a guarantee of state authority for allowing all people to access the freedom to worship according to their own beliefs. Thus, this country protects the religious rights of citizens belonging to different religious backgrounds. In this case, the discrimination based on religious specification towards the Ugamo Malim community highlights the absence of a suitable legal framework to implement the constitutional regulation in practical society. Several incidents have impaired the rights of people belonging to this Ugamo religious minority of this country to person their religious rights.
