Description
The assignment should be completed as a Microsoft Word document (note that you can use other tools like Google Docs and then exporting to Microsoft Word) using MLA in-text citations.
Be sure to include the following items in the deck and when complete, upload in Blackboard on the Assignments page using SafeAssign. The content should include the following key elements
1. Title Page. Include Assignment #2 – NPD Adjacency, date, full name, course & section. Also, add a footer with page number, your last name, project codename
2. Company Summary (less than a page in length)
a. A summary of your findings based on the article and a demonstration of understanding his business category and related firms, brands or companies (i.e.
Jason Mark, Spenco, Sneaker lab, etc.).
3. Market Research (less than two pages in length)
a. Check availability of shoe cleaning and shoe accessories products/categories in non-specialty stores with high traffic (i.e. Dollarama, grocery stores, etc.)
b. Investigate shoe specialty stores (i.e. footlocker, etc.)
c. Use the store website if necessary to potentially find distribution points and display ads
4. Possible Adjacencies (less than a page in length)
a. Consider all possible “adjacencies” and define two high-fit adjacencies and the target market for each.
