Task: 
You work as a Project Manager (PM) at Events Berlin GmbH. 
The Malta Tourism Authority (Visit Malta) wants to promote their country as a gastronomic destination, in order to have a 5% more German visitors in Malta in 2021 (Goal). They want to promote their products and their cuisine trough a food event in Berlin and Events Berlin GmbH is organizing it. Your task, as the PM of this event, is to lead the project and work on its scope. The event should happen at any time before October 2020, and you are free to decide what, how, when, how long and where. 
There is a budget of 100.000 € and a team of five, including yourself, to organize it. You can also outsource part of your team for specific tasks if needed. Use the Project Management practises and frameworks learned in this module to organise this event. 
You will do the research in a group for the specific event idea. The teams and the idea conception are designed in the class. The teams will work together on rationale and the phases of the project, presenting also: Project charter, Gantt chart, budget plan, risk evaluation and team organization matrix. The conclusion is individual, and the student will submit the assignment individually. 

• Explain the background of the project, your research, your proposal, and the steps to follow: 
• Executive Summary: The project background and rationale. What is your event about, when, where, how and why you are doing it. The goal is defined, then you can settle measurable objectives. 
• Introduction 
• What do you know about the destination (culture, statistics, etc) and connect it to the event you are designing. Why the event would be successful? 
• Phases 
• Explain the process of PM applied to your event. 
• Do not forget the project charter, the Gantt chart, the budget plan, the risk evaluation and team matrix. 
• Work deeply in initiation and planification. Explain how you would do the Execution, Monitoring and Closure, mentioning also how you would measure the project performance.
