Research Proposal
Aim: Produce a research proposal on any topic related to business management (marketing; human resources; operations management; finance; information technology; information system; economics, etc.). Your proposal will eventually form the basis of your dissertation and should consist of the following fully developed chapters:
Chapter 1 – Introduction: Background to your research/topic; Statement of the problem; Research objectives/research questions and their theoretical foundation.
Chapter 2 – Literature review: An in-depth review of existing literature on your topic. Your literature review should situate your topic/research questions within the broader literature. It should provide support for your research objectives/research questions/hypotheses (if any). The literature review should also explicitly discuss the theoretical basis of your research, identify, and define the key variables/concepts of your study.
Chapter 3 – Methodology: This section of your proposal should provide information on the measurement of constructs/variables (for quantitative research); data collection method (e.g. survey/interviews/focus groups, etc.); sample; data analysis, etc. It is recommended that you include a copy of your questionnaire/interview questions as an Appendix to your proposal. Your methodology should be well justified using academic sources/proper citations.

The research proposal should be between 4000-4500 words (excluding appendices and references and tables); Times New Roman; 12-point font, double-spaced;
The proposal should be well referenced and properly cited using APA referencing style (https://aut.ac.nz.libguides.com/APA6th/referencelist);
Your work should adhere to the conventions of standard written English, should be clearly expressed, logically developed and structured, and should be free from grammatical mistakes;
The proposal should be professionally typed and bounded/stabled before submission;
Plagiarism will not be tolerated;
Submission date: Week 10; Late submission will not be accepted except in extenuating circumstances.
