The aim of this assignment is for you to examine what you encounter in your emergency department and the impact that overcrowding, the aging population, illicit drug use, global unrest or global warming is having on your emergency department. The objective is to critically analyse and synthesize researched evidence to support what you write in this paper. In the outcomes or actions section explore what future planning is required and research how other emergency healthcare providers in Australia and Internationally approach the same trend.
Instructions
After completing module 3 choose one of the global or local trends discussed in that module.
• Describe it, analyse it and consider some possible outcomes or actions that could be implemented.
• This paper can be written in first person – but do not fall into the trap of giving your opinion, use the literature, provide the evidence to what you are saying.
• Description is only a minor part of this paper, analysis and synthesis of research should form the bulk of the paper. For example, when you discuss possible outcomes or actions they need to be evidenced – identifying how other emergency departments are implementing changes or what the research suggests would be a good solution to the problem.
• Use APA referencing.
• After completing your assignment self-evaluate your work and respond to the questions:
