Assignment 1 asked students to identify a policy that influences the way in which health care is implemented in their area of practice at their workplace.   

Assignment 2 students were required to critically analyse and evaluate the policy chosen as outlined in assignment 1 and 2.  

Assignment 3 requires students to complete a report that focuses on presenting the revisions to their chosen policy and provide recommendations for change, based on the policy analysis, reading, and credible literature you have utilised. 

Assignment tasks 

1. Outline the changes required to your chosen policy (include the amended policy in the appendices). 
2. A letter of transmittal is not required for the purpose of this assignment 
3. Provide a synopsis of the contribution of the revised policy in practice. This synopsis needs to include the benefit changing the policy and its potential positive impact to practice or staff engagement and the ongoing monitoring / evaluation process.  

1. Write an executive summary of your report that includes the purpose of the report, the major findings of your policy analysis, the conclusion and the main recommendations being made (250–300 words). 
2. Include a brief introduction to the body of your report (75–100 words). 
3. The body of your report will cover the analysis you have conducted and your findings. 
4. The use of headings as per the steps applied in your analysis assignment (2) will assist you to organise this section. Substantiate and validate the key points in your analysis. Where relevant you might include tables, graphs and figures (800 words). 
5. Write a brief conclusion based on the information in the body of your report (50–75 words). 
6. Recommendations. This section outlines your recommendations for change based on your policy analysis and review and conclusions (500 words). 
7. Include a reference list of all sources of information used in the report. 
8. Include a title page and table of contents (there is no need to include a letter of transmittal).
