You have to conduct an interview with the author/translator of the book you have chosen and write a descriptive interview-based profile. 1,500-1,800 words. This means you will be writing in fluid paragraph/prose format and not simply using the Q and A format. The deadline is May 24. 
 

Grades will depend on 3 factors. First, you seeking the interview and building up to a conversation. Second, the kind of insight you bring to the conversation, based on your reading of the book as well as related readings around the subject, or around the author’s body of work. Third, the quality of your writing. 

While the book certainly should inform you and be central to the conversation, you can extend the conversation beyond just the one book and interview the author as a talented individual whose body of work may be of interest to a wide audience.

Good writing involves a certain flow, an inbuilt narrative, so that it reads like a story and makes the reader feel invested in the life and times of the person/character you are writing about. Good grammar, punctuation, and careful editing is as important as research and the content you manage to gather.
