Assignment: Reflective Portfolio
In this assignment, students are tasked with completing five short pieces of writing to form a reflective leadership portfolio. These are to be submitted in Week 12 in a single MS Word file on LMS.
Each piece of writing should be between 1.5 and 2 pages in length and should link one philosophical principle (selected from the 12 listed below) to the role of leadership.
“How does (chosen philosophical principle) impact upon modern leadership?”

In completing this assignment, students are asked to:
1.Select five separate principles and study each separately. Videos have been prepared outlining each principle and a little about its author. These videos are available to access on LMS.
2.Reflect on each principle and consider how each can help us to better understand leadership and the challenges associated with leadership.
3.Review leadership resources – articles, books – to identify links with existing leadership concepts (your textbook may help here).
4.Craft a 1.5 and 2 page paper addressing the core question.

In crafting each short paper, students should:
–  Employ an essay-type format.
–  Each short piece should include an introduction outlining what will be cov- ered.
–  Include a short paragraph outlining/ defining the philosophical principle selected.
–  Include a short paragraph outlining/ defining the leadership principle that helps link the philosophical principle to leadership practice.
–  A discussion section addressing the question.
–  A short conclusion summarising the lessons learned.
–  A reference list (using Chicago referencing standards).
