Task Type: Historical Investigation (Mandatory NESA Task) – The historical investigation is designed to provide opportunities for all students to further develop relevant investigative, research and presentation skills that are the core of the historical inquiry process. It needs to analyse and interpret different types of sources.

Task Description:
You will be required to conduct an investigation on your chosen personality OR event from the list on the following page.
There are two components that need to be submitted as a hard and soft copy.
The Process Log (10 marks)
The Essay (25 marks)
Your essay is to be between 1700-2000 words

Any response that goes over 2000 words will receive a mark no higher than the C range.
You must refer to at least TWO Primary Sources (sources made from the time) in your response.
A copy of the specific sources will need to be included in an appendix that is to be attached to the essay. Eg. Statistics, cartoons, short extracts so they can be checked by the marker.
You must refer to ONE Historian in your response (this historian is NOT considered as one of your two required primary sources). You need to include the historian in your bibliography.
