Assessment 1 is designed to assess students’ abilities as outlined in learning outcome 5: 

It consists of a group presentation and you are required to choose an organisation of your choice that has gone through significant changes within the last 10 years. 

Your task is to analyse the approach to leadership within the chosen organisation during the period of transformational change. It is important to identify important challenges faced by the leadership and to critically evaluate the outcome of the leadership style and approach in the organisation using leadership theories). You need to prepare a group presentation and present to the leadership team to help on how to improve their leadership and management of strategic change. Groups will be formed in class. 

The presentation you produce should also include a critical reflection which should focus on how the presentation was developed amongst the group and how roles were allocated and who led. The reflective statement is critical of how the group and presentation evolved without any bias or judgement. It should focus on how the research, thoughts and actions or events came together and what the individual learned and could improve in the future.
