Setting up a process where all operatives must fill a site induction form with their information before being booked for a site induction. This is usually done by the Construction Site Administrator who takes copies of their competency cards and induction forms and helps make sure the form is filled properly.
The site induction form will capture the operative’s name, address, national insurance, health questionnaires, next of kin, area of work, skills, and a competency card (CSCS) will be presented to match the level of skills which they are going to be working as.
All this information is recorded and stored in the health and safety file on site, a simple online health & safety test will be conducted to test their level of understanding before being fully booked for site induction.
A specific day and time will be set up on site where the health and safety officer conduct on-site induction outlining the important health and safety rules for all workers, reporting procedures, emergency arrangements, and the details of key personnel such as supervisors, safety officers, first aiders and fire marshals etc.
All inductees will sign to confirm that they have received and understood the health and safety training before being allowed to carry out construction works.

Identifying hazards will be done by going through the construction phase plan of the project, the risk assessment and method statements will also be developed to identify risks and identify the safe methods of carrying out work.
