In this week’s session, after an introductory presentation, we will be starting work on the first assignment task. This is to write a short review of a published research paper by Mogan et al, as entitled below. Morgan et al (2016). UK rail workers’ perception of accident risk factors: an exploratory study. The intention is that during the class you can make notes, which will then need typing up ready to submit on the submission date via Turnitin. We are doing this as a class/lecture to make it easy for you to swap ideas with other students. However, the submitted work must be entirely your own, so do not share any written material and remember that you should never allow anyone to access data files related to your assignment. Assignment 1 (Part 1) Question 1; Critical Review of a Published Research Paper For this task, you will write a review of one published research paper which have been provided. The softcopy pdf can also be accessed via MDIS Blackboard. The aim is, first to identify the key features of the paper, and then to give an opinion on its value. The answer to this question should not exceed 700 words, although it may be possible to get good marks for a well-written answer which is significantly shorter than this. If you compare the paper with others, or refer to research methods texts, you should of course reference these sources in the normal way. This task accounts for ? of the marks for
