Assessment – Critical analysis of noticing learners and observing learning (3000 words) – 60% This assessment focusses on the learners. It aims to enhance awareness of close observation and ethical practices required to know learners and to investigate and critique learning. You will apply skills and methods of observing and noticing learners and learning using the ‘Illustrations of Practice’ from AITSL (Australian Institute for Teaching & School Leadership), and following placement you will engage in Cloud group analyses and discussion of your selection and experiences and what has been learned from them. You will draw on these experiences, educational literature and theory, and on ethical and legal codes to develop and submit an individual written analysis of your emergent understandings of ways to notice, know and ethically engage with learners.
