Assignment Task :
Part 2a: requires you to become familiar with the everyday issues and develop a portfolio around these contemporary issues and write a brief discussion (250 words each) around these issues. As we are unable to predict what is going to transpire in society over the next 10 weeks, it is important that you keep abreast of what is happening. You are to choose 5 current issues to discuss and include in your portfolio. You are to include where you and how you become familiar with this issue, i.e. newspaper, television news, social media, etc. Your discussion ( 250 words each) must include how this issue impacts on children today and the possible future implications for children and the wider society.
Task 2b. Requires you to choose 1 of the contemporary issues from your portfolio or your issue from task 1, and develop a presentation relating to this issue. Your presentation will be in the form of a 3 minute presentation of two slides, ONE (1) slide that shows the main issues of your chosen topic and how it impacts on children today. You are to include a minimum of 4 relevant scholarly references (not websites) to support your discussion, which is to be included on a second slide. Total word count 850
