The American Renal Data System indicated that sudden death or cardiac arrhythmias was the primary cause for 37% of deaths in patients with ESRD ( Saran et al, 2016). Hemodialysis patients have a low chance of survival due to increased prevalence of cardiovascular diseases, including sudden death.
