Case/Scenario
Ted Baker was the CEO of the airline “Jet-Air”. He started up the airline and was the CEO for the last 25 years. It was announced yesterday that he is stepping down from his position and will be undertaking a new
business opportunity.
Radio broadcaster Stan Smiles on 3PML Radio station discussed the news headline on his talkback show. Here is a transcript from the broadcast
“Well, it’s the flamboyant Ted Baker, former CEO of “Jet-Air” or should I say CEO of having love affairs is stepping down as CEO.
The man talks about a diverse culture at Jet Air and promoting gender equality. But I feel like saying really mate?
Why don’t you tell the public the real reason you are stepping down. An affair and being a sleaze bag towards women. Every press conference he has there is a woman standing right next to him. You
can’t tell me there isn’t something going on there. It’s obvious.
He was fired from his previous CEO position at Lily Airlines. I think we can see a pattern here”
Ted says that the interview on the radio implied that:
a) He was a sleaze towards woman
b) He stepped down as CEO due to having an affair.
