Question 1

As we write, the Covid-19 coronavirus is spreading throughout the globe. Besides its impact on public health, this coronavirus outbreak is likely to have significant economic consequences. Different countries have rapidly responded by using macroeconomics analytical tool on the economic and fiscal policy. Right now, containment and mitigation measures are necessary to limit the spread of the virus and save lives. However, they come at a cost, as shutdowns imply reducing economic activity

Requirement:

Using a country of your choice you are required to critically analyse the economic and fiscal policy used to stimulate the economy. And the subsequent impact of the policies on the economy. You should also compare and contrast your chosen country to another of similar size or GDP for example, or any other rationale to illustrate your points. This comparison should be very brief and is not the main thrust of this assignment.
