The aim of this assignment is to enable you to demonstrate advanced technical knowledge  of the law of lawyering and theoretical principles of legal ethics, as well as your ability to  apply analytical and problem-solving skills and conduct deep original research.  

Part A 

You are required to demonstrate your ability to identify the ethical dilemmas posed and to  generate and transmit appropriate solutions or approaches. You will have to apply and  critique the law of lawyering (laws, the Australian Solicitors Conduct Rules, relevant cases,  etc), ethical principles and theories derived from scholarly literature to the facts to present a  justifiable course of action. You are expected to engage in original research. It requires a  deep understanding of lawyers’ ethical duties and professional responsibilities.
