Use the library website, google scholar and accredited academic websites and journals to access five (5) academic articles in accredited academic journals on the need for/ purpose of training and skills development in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The articles you access must meet the following criteria:
a. Two of the five articles should have an international focus;b. Three of the five articles should have a local or national focus;c. Two of the five articles can focus on any industry;d. Three of the articles must focus on manufacturing sector locally or internationally;e. All the articles MUST be within the last five years (from about 2015 to 2021) as a vast amount of research has been conducted in the field of HRD and small businesses, so older articles will have little relevance;f. Read the 5 articles and summarise the literature section of each article.
